The CCCX 2025 MTB Race #1 delivers an electrifying cross-country mountain biking experience at the renowned Fort Ord trails in California. As part of a five-race series, this event attracts both newcomers and seasoned MTB racers with its emphasis on fast, hardpacked courses rather than technical obstacles. Riders can expect exhilarating competition at average speeds topping 18 mph for top categories, all on versatile, flowy trails. The series is celebrated for its rider camaraderie, fun atmosphere, and strong support for Monterey County trail advocacy.

The course features two laps for beginner/youth racers (such as 6th/7th grade), and four laps for expert/open classes. The fast, open format boasts hardpacked trails with options for various route combinations, focused on speed and flow rather than technical climbing.
