The CO2UT Desert Gravel Race is an adventurous cycling race held on May 3, 2025, starting in Fruita, Colorado, and traversing the dramatic Colorado-Utah border. Riders choose from several course lengths that send them over rugged gravel, through remote high-desert plateaus, and across technical terrain, all while surrounded by stunning panoramic vistas unique to this region. Whether you’re chasing a podium or the famed “King/Queen of the Desert” crown, the race celebrates endurance, grit, and the exhilarating spirit of the wild southwest.

COURSE DETAILS

Racers depart from Fruita, CO, into the high desert, following gravel and mixed surfaces along remote plateau routes, challenging climbs, and technical descents straddling the Colorado-Utah border. Multiple well-stocked aid stations every 15–20 miles, with post-race festivities back in Fruita.
