The Copper Triangle is a classic Colorado road cycling event taking place on August 2, 2025. Riders tackle a spectacular 79-mile alpine loop showing off the best of the Rocky Mountains, including three legendary mountain passes—Fremont, Tennessee, and Vail—each over 10,000 feet. The event is known for its scenic high-altitude views, challenging climbs and descents, and vibrant finish line festival atmosphere at Copper Mountain Resort. As a charity event supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s, it offers both a physical challenge and the chance to ride for a cause.
COURSE DETAILS
A 79-mile paved road route, starting and finishing at Copper Mountain Resort, climbing three significant mountain passes (Fremont, Tennessee, Vail) with multiple aid stations, scenic Rocky Mountain views, and long, exhilarating descents. The loop passes historic areas like Camp Hale as it traverses open mountain roads.
