The Fool's Gold 38 and 54 Mile MTB Race is Georgia’s premier endurance mountain bike event, taking place on September 13, 2025, at the picturesque Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA. Both courses feature a scenic and spirited rollout before winding through a mix of gravel roads and fast, flowy singletrack set amid the North Georgia mountains. Riders on the 54-mile course face the notorious three-mile gravel climb, while the 38-mile course offers a challenging but more approachable route for those ready to test their endurance and skills. Whether you choose the longer or shorter race, you'll experience top-notch support, beautiful views, and a celebratory finish right at the winery.
COURSE DETAILS
Both courses start at Montaluce Winery with a neutral pavement section, then transition to gravel and singletrack. The 54-mile course features a challenging gravel climb, while the 38-mile skips this portion. Expect a mix of fast descents, technical features, and classic North Georgia mountain terrain.
