Conquer epic climbs and rugged descents high above I-90!
The HI90 Grindy is a Gran Fondo endurance gravel ride set in Cle Elum, Washington, scheduled for June 7, 2025. This event challenges riders with epic climbs, spicy descents, and extensive stretches of gravel and forest service roads. Although organized as a Gran Fondo, participants must obey all traffic laws and be prepared for demanding terrain, including remote segments and historic railroad tunnels on the Palouse to Cascades Trail. With multiple route choices, the primary Grande course offers riders a true test of grit, adventure, and scenic mountain exploration.
COURSE DETAILS
Grande route offers 90 miles with 7,900 feet of climbing through mixed gravel, forest service roads, and historic trail tunnels; shorter Medio (50 mi) and Mellow Velo routes available.
Race HIGHLIGHTS
- Scenic climbs up FS3350 to South Cle Elum Ridge with panoramic views
- Ride through historic railroad tunnels on the Palouse to Cascades Trail (headlight required)
- Fast and chunky descents, especially on FS4510
- Multiple aid stations (Miles 38.9, 51.5, 72.3)
- Finisher's souvenir for all participants
