The Hungry Bear 100 is a 100-mile gravel race set in the scenic Northwoods around Cable, Wisconsin, blending challenging terrain with a down-to-earth, community-focused atmosphere. Riders tackle punchy climbs, technical sandy stretches, and expansive forest service roads before celebrating at a lively post-race party featuring pie, live music, and local hospitality. With two well-placed aid stations and a notoriously tough final segment, this event is a test of endurance that rewards both grit and good spirits.
COURSE DETAILS
The course features 100 miles through rolling Northwoods with mixed gravel, forest service roads, and sandy/rocky sections such as Rock Lake Road and Camp Road 38. Riders encounter approximately 2,000+ feet of climbing, with challenges peaking in the last 25 miles.
