The Leadville Big Friggin’ Loop (LBFL) is a grueling, high-elevation self-supported endurance cycling challenge set for September 20, 2025. Riders take on roughly 115 miles of rugged Colorado backcountry, starting and finishing in Leadville, traversing alpine singletrack, remote gravel, and classic segments of the Colorado Trail. With strict self-support rules—no aid stations or prizes—this limited field event demands resilience, resourcefulness, and a true sense of adventure.
COURSE DETAILS
Figure-8 loop beginning and ending in Leadville, crossing above treeline three times in the first 20 miles, featuring Segment 8 of the Colorado Trail from Copper to Tennessee Pass, traversing San Isabel and White River National Forests on mixed singletrack and gravel.
