Conquer rugged gravel and breathtaking Appalachian vistas.

The Lost River Classic, set for August 16, 2025, in Mathias, West Virginia, is a demanding gravel bike race supporting trail development in Lost River State Park. Part of the West Virginia Gravel Race Series, the event challenges riders with a stunning route through the Appalachian landscape. Proceeds go toward trail maintenance and youth mountain biking programs, making each pedal stroke a contribution to the outdoor community.

The route covers approximately 80 miles on 75% gravel roads with technical sections. Riders will face a total elevation gain of 8,000 feet. Organizers recommend gravel bikes outfitted with 38mm or wider tires for optimal performance.
