Ride the Golden Gate to Mt. Tam: Epic trails, iconic views, pure adventure.

The MCBC Dirt Fondo is Marin County Bicycle Coalition’s signature off-road cycling event, returning for its 13th anniversary on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Riders will traverse a curated course from the Golden Gate Bridge to Mount Tamalpais and back, experiencing a variety of mixed terrain and breathtaking views. The event is limited to 300 cyclists and offers a supportive, fun atmosphere, all while raising funds for local off-road cycling programs. Whether you're after a challenging adventure or a scenic day in nature, the Dirt Fondo blends Marin’s legendary trails, community spirit, and post-ride celebration, making it a bucket-list ride for gravel and mountain bike fans.

COURSE DETAILS

Starting and finishing at the Rodeo Valley Trailhead in Marin Headlands, the main route is a 45-mile journey climbing towards Mount Tamalpais and returning, with additional shorter/larger course options. Riders encounter mixed surfaces including trails, fire roads, tarmac, and singletrack, with four staffed rest stops along the way.
