The Michelob ULTRA GFNY World Championship NYC on May 18, 2025, offers a globally recognized cycling challenge. Riders from nearly 100 nations will face a 137 km (85 mi) course with 1,942 m (6,371 ft) of elevation gain, battling the clock and each other. Mass start, chip timing for all participants, and a focus on both elite competition and personal achievement give every cyclist a pro-level experience. The race starts on the iconic, closed-to-traffic George Washington Bridge and traverses some of the region’s toughest hills through scenic New Jersey and New York towns.
COURSE DETAILS
The route covers 137 km (85 mi) with a start on the car-free George Washington Bridge. Riders face challenging terrain, including Alpine Hill (1.6 km, 120 m elevation) and the notorious Gate Hill, both of which can split the peloton. Most of the route takes place on closed or police-controlled roads, ensuring a safe, race-like environment.
