Empower youth on trails: race, challenge, and grow!
The MiSCA Addison Oaks MTB XC Race is Race #2 of the 2025 MiSCA Race Series, dedicated exclusively to student riders from elementary through high school. Set in Leonard, Michigan at Addison Oaks County Park over September 6–7, 2025, this two-day event provides age- and skill-appropriate race experiences. Students may compete individually or as part of a team, but team affiliation is not required. Elementary school races take place on Saturday, while Middle and High School students race on Sunday. The event emphasizes inclusivity, skill development, and the thrill of cross-country mountain biking—perfect for young riders looking to challenge themselves in a supportive environment. Courses (2024 layout—subject to change for 2025):
- Varsity: 3 laps, Advanced Course (6.5 mi/lap), 19.3 miles total
- Junior Varsity: 2 laps, Advanced Course, 12.9 miles total
- Advanced Middle School: 2 laps, Advanced Course, 12.9 miles total
- Novice & Advanced Elementary: 3 laps, Beginner Course (3.4 mi/lap), 10.1 miles total
- Upper Elementary: 2 laps, Beginner Course, 6.7 miles total
- Lower Elementary: 1 lap, Beginner Course, 3.4 miles total
