Moab Fondo Fest is a thrilling two-day cycling event set amidst the breathtaking desert vistas of Moab, Utah. Held on May 3–4, 2025, the festival features back-to-back rides: the classic Gran Fondo on Saturday covers scenic paved roads with challenging climbs, while Sunday’s Gravel Fondo explores rugged backcountry routes. Cyclists can choose one fondo or take on both for the ultimate test. With timed results, mass starts, and post-ride celebrations, this event is perfect for both competitive riders and adventure seekers.
COURSE DETAILS
Gran Fondo (May 3): 50.6 miles of paved roads with challenging ascents passing landmarks like Merrimac/Monitor Buttes and Big Mesa. Gravel Fondo (May 4): 50.4 miles on gravel and dirt, traversing Gemini Bridges Road and Mill Canyon. Both start in Moab at approximately 4,025 ft elevation with notable elevation gains.
Race HIGHLIGHTS
- Ride past iconic Utah landmarks like Merrimac and Monitor Buttes, Plateau Viewpoint, and Canyonlands National Park vistas
- Mass starts and professionally timed results each day
- Post-ride celebration with refreshments for all finishers
- Option to ride one or both days for an added challenge
