The Mountains to the Desert Classic (M2D) on September 20, 2025, is a stunning Colorado cycling event supporting the Just For Kids Foundation. Riders choose from three distinct routes—starting in Telluride (103 miles), Norwood (73 miles), or Ridgway (110 miles)—and traverse alpine meadows, aspen forests, and striking red sandstone landscapes before finishing in the desert canyons of Gateway. The event not only offers breathtaking scenery and a challenging ride but also benefits local youth programs.

COURSE DETAILS

Choose from three routes: 73 miles from Norwood, 103 miles from Telluride, or 110 miles from Ridgway. All routes descend from the high mountains of southwestern Colorado to the majestic desert cliffs of Gateway, crossing a mosaic of alpine, forest, and desert terrain.
