Conquer volcanic trails and singletrack glory in Bend’s epic mountain bike challenge.

The Ring of Fire mountain bike race takes place on September 27, 2025, beginning at 9 AM from Wanoga Snow Park in scenic Bend, Oregon. This 50–54 mile endurance event is part of the NUE Marathon Series and challenges riders with a newly updated course featuring volcanic landscapes, extensive singletrack, and crisp autumn conditions. Racers can compete for cash prizes and custom medals across a variety of competitive categories, making it an ideal late-season MTB adventure.

COURSE DETAILS

The course starts at Wanoga Snow Park and covers newly updated loops through volcanic rock and forest trails. Riders traverse 75% singletrack as they wind through pine and juniper forests, with scenic views of Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade volcanoes. The course climbs from 4,800 ft up to 7,000 ft, giving a total elevation gain of over 5,000 ft.
