The True Grit Bike Ride is a non-competitive cycling event designed for riders of all skill levels. Participants choose from routes of 30, 45, or 62 miles and ride through the scenic, rolling hills of rural Arkansas near Fort Smith. The event is a fundraiser dedicated to supporting food programs for at-risk children in the community. Along the way, enjoy stocked rest stops, community camaraderie, and post-ride hospitality. A certified 5K run/walk is also offered, making the day welcoming for both cyclists and runners.
COURSE DETAILS
The event provides three route options—30, 45, or 62 miles—through beautiful Arkansas countryside with rolling hills. Riders encounter rest areas every 10 miles, fully stocked with snacks and fluids to support their endurance experience. The separate 5K running course is chip-timed and includes a modest elevation gain.
