The Uwharrie MTB Challenge, taking place February 22, 2025, in Mount Gilead, North Carolina, is a demanding mountain bike event that puts riders to the test on challenging singletrack trails. With both long (28 miles) and short (22.8 miles) course options, the race features significant elevation gains, technical terrain, and is renowned for its relentless ascents and descents. As part of the Pisgah Triple Crown Series, the event promises well-marked courses, chip timing, fully stocked aid stations, post-race meals, and special event shirts to early registrants. Limited to 200 participants, this challenge is a memorable experience in one of North Carolina's most rugged trail systems.
