The Vapor Trail 125 is a grueling overnight mountain bike race through Colorado's rugged backcountry. Starting at 10 PM in Salida, riders face 125 miles of technical singletrack, steep jeep roads, intense hike-a-bike segments, and high-alpine trails, climbing a staggering 17,000 feet along the way. With challenging terrain, unpredictable mountain weather, and long hours of darkness, this event is designed for ultra-prepared and adventurous mountain bikers ready to test their limits in self-sufficiency and endurance.

COURSE DETAILS

125-mile loop beginning in Salida, Colorado, featuring 40% technical singletrack, jeep and dirt roads, multiple hike-a-bike sections, with summits rising above 12,500 ft. The course includes five aid stations but requires riders to carry lights, cold-weather gear, and repair kits.
