Covering 125 miles and climbing 17,000 feet, this self-supported race challenges participants with technical singletrack, remote jeep roads, and relentless alpine climbs, all under the stars. Cyclists push through sub-freezing cold and midday heat, navigating demanding terrain and breathtaking high-mountain landscapes. Only about 70% make it to the finish line, making this a badge of true endurance and adventure.
COURSE DETAILS
125 miles starting and finishing in Salida, CO, with a midnight rollout. The route includes over 50 miles of technical singletrack, multiple high-alpine passes over 12,000 ft, jeep roads, hike-a-bike segments, and sustained climbs. Iconic points include Monarch Pass and Cascade aid stations, with very limited outside support allowed.
